Class Division Requirements

Classical Ballet 

Combo/Mini (Ages 3 to 5): 1+ Hours
Ballet I:  Recommended 1-2 hours (2+ required for progression)
Ballet II: (Ages 6+ with prior experience) Recommended 2 Hours (3+ required for progression)
Ballet III Non- Pointe: 7.5+ Hours/Week Minimum of 3 technique, 1 Pre Pointe, 2 alternative.
(*Min. of 3 technique classes required to take Pre-Pointe)
Ballet III Boys: 7.5+ Hours/Week Minimum of 2 technique, Boys technique, 2 alternative. *YAGP Recommended
Ballet III New Pointe: 9+ Hours/Week Minimum of 4 technique, 1 New Pointe, 2 alternative
Ballet IV: 11.5+ Hours/Week Minimum of 4 technique, 2 pointe, 2 alternative. *YAGP Recommended
Ballet V: 14+ Hours/Week Minimum of 5 technique, 4 pointe, 1 conditioning, 2 alternative. *YAGP Recommended
Ballet VI:  14+ Hours/Week Minimum of 5 technique, 4 pointe, 1 conditioning, 2 alternative. *YAGP Recommended

Regular attendance is necessary to maintain your level. The office must be notified prior to all absences. Make up classes must be taken within the same month that the absence occurred or will be forfeited. Make ups can be taken in the students own level or the levels below. Extreme absences will result in a re-evaluation of placement.

LDT Dress Code

Classical Ballet Division and Young Dancer – Solid color leotard, pink tights, canvas or leather ballet shoes, and hair in a clean professional bun, no embellished headbands. Ballet skirts are allowed for Variations class only. No Tutus or costumes please. Students levels IV-VII are expected to have pointe shoes at ALL TIMES!

Commercial/Contemporary Division: Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Broadway Jazz  -Dance appropriate clothing, hair up, and black or tan jazz shoes.
