There are 3 different scenarios for production that we are considering to make the production possible:

  • Saddleback College or other indoor theater if possible

  • Build out tents/stage and a temporary dance floor at an outdoor venue

  • A virtual version to be enjoyed in your home or at an outdoor drive-in venue

(If you have connections with venues where an outdoor theater could be set up, discounts on tents, lighting, or chairs- please contact Melissa Sandoval)

Laguna Ballet’s dress rehearsals and performances will be held at the venue on December 15th through 20th.  We will notify you of the venue information as it becomes available.

Rehearsals for the production are on the weekends, and each student is committed to attend all rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances. All rehearsals are mandatory; excessive absence from rehearsal will result in the student losing their part. Please notify the office of any prior known absences at least one week in advance. In cases of illness, absences are excused and students are asked not to participate if contagious or have a fever or have vomited in the previous 24 hrs (also please note COVID-19 guidelines).  Injured students are required to come to rehearsal to view and learn spacing and choreography. Tuition MUST be current through 12/22/20 to participate in the performances. Participants must be registered in at least 1 Ballet class at Laguna Dance Theatre to participate in the Laguna Ballet performances of The Nutcracker.
