Nutcracker (SAT) 2PM

Synopsis: The Nutcracker Story Act I Mr. and Mrs. Stahlbaum prepare for the festivities of Christmas Eve. The children, Clara and Fritz, are excited about the prospect of spending the evening with their friends. Clara’s father performs the traditional role of lighting the Christmas tree and toasting to Christmas Eve. Everyone dances and there is much excitement and speculation among the children. Herr Drosselmeyer, an old family friend who is also Clara’s Godfather, arrives with magical dolls to entertain the children. He also presents Clara with a Nutcracker, a gift that enchants her. She dances, captivated by the Nutcracker. In the midst of the party, the Nutcracker is broken. Drosselmeyer performs a magical spell, repairs the Nutcracker and the parents and guests celebrate with a traditional dance.
